The song Mungaru Maleyalli from Andondittu Kaala, starring Vinay Rajkumar and Aditi Prabhudeva, has won hearts ever since its release. Launched by Golden Star Ganesh and Mungaru Male fame Pooja Gandhi, the song has garnered 1.7 million views on A2 Music’s YouTube channel and has been widely appreciated. In response to its success, the film team recently interacted with the media, sharing insights about the movie.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Rajkumar expressed his joy: “The song Mungaru Maleyalli has been well received. The film features five songs, all beautifully composed by music director V. Raghavendra. I sincerely thank him for giving us such wonderful tunes. The movie is set to release in March and narrates the journey of a filmmaker. Director Keerthi has drawn inspiration from his own life and the experiences of his friends to craft an engaging story. I believe audiences will love it. Producer Suresh has backed the film with passion, and I wish him great success. It was a pleasure working with Aditi, and we had a wonderful time filming in the scenic locations of Thirthahalli.”
Aditi Prabhudeva also shared her thoughts: “The title Andondittu Kaala itself feels nostalgic. Director Keerthi and producer Suresh have given me a beautiful role where I express emotions through my eyes. It was a delightful experience working with Vinay. Music director V. Raghavendra acknowledged the overwhelming response: “The song has received immense love from the audience, and I owe this success to producer Bhuvan Suresh, without whose encouragement this wouldn’t have been possible. The song is getting over 1.5 lakh views on YouTube daily, with 300+ reels being made every day. No matter how well we compose music, its visual presentation is equally important. Vinay and Aditi’s chemistry is outstanding, and I’ve become a fan of their on-screen presence.”
Director Keerthi Krishna revealed an interesting backstory about the song’s creation: “Our producer gave me this opportunity, and I am forever grateful to him. The composition of this song took some time, and at one point, when we urged the composer to hurry, he sang a bit in frustration. Surprisingly, that melody turned out to be fantastic! Initially, we wanted Sid Sriram to sing this track, but his fee was quite high. However, the producer was determined, and eventually, Sid Sriram himself recorded the song, which played a huge role in its success.”
Andondittu Kaala stars Vinay Rajkumar and Aditi alongside Nisha Ravikrishnan, Jaggappa, and Aruna Balraj, with Ravichandran making a guest appearance. The film has been shot in Bengaluru, Thirthahalli, and other picturesque locations. Produced by Suresh under Bhuvan Cinemas, the film features cinematography by Abhishek Kasargod. The team is gearing up for a March release, and expectations are running high.
