The muhurta ceremony for the film Cult, starring Zaid Khan, took place on Ganesh Chaturthi at the Panchmukhi Ganapati Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout.
Directed by Anil Kumar, who recently delivered a hit with Upadhyaksha, Cult features Rachita Ram and Malaika in the leading female roles. The ceremony marked the beginning of the film’s production with the traditional lighting of the clapperboard by Anil Kumar’s wife. The camera was launched by Zaid Khan’s grandmother, the mother of Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan. The event saw the presence of several members of the film’s crew and close associates.
The film’s initial poster has already sparked significant interest and anticipation. Cult stars Zaid Khan alongside Dimple Queen Rachita Ram and Malaika, who gained prominence from Upadhyaksha. The supporting cast includes Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, and ALL OK, among others.
Director Anil Kumar explained that the title “Cult” was chosen to reflect a narrative that resonates with today’s youth, as the term “Cult” is widely used by the younger generation.
Cult is being produced under the Lokki Cinemas banner, with Anil Kumar handling both the writing and direction. The film features cinematography by J. S. Wali, music by Arjun Janya, editing by K. M. Prakash, stunts by Ravi Verma, and choreography by Bhooshan and Santu Master.
