Sandalwood has welcomed another six-foot hero! Kichcha Sudeep’s nephew, Sanchith, has officially debuted in Sandalwood as a leading man. He enters the industry with a unique concept film. Starring opposite him is Kajal Kundar of Pepe fame. The grand muhurat ceremony took place at the iconic Dodda Ganapathi Temple in Basavanagudi, marking the commencement of Sanchith’s debut project.
Kichcha Sudeep himself was present to wish his nephew luck and gave the clap for the first shot. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar turned on the camera, extending her best wishes to the debutante. What made the event even more special was the presence of Sudeep’s entire family, including his sister (Sanchith’s mother), father Sarovar Sanjeev, and daughter Saanvi, who stood by as pillars of support.
The film is being directed by Vivek, for whom this project marks his directorial debut. Having previously worked in films of other languages, Vivek steps into the Kannada industry as an independent director with this venture. The project is jointly produced by KRG Studios and Sudeep’s Supriyanvi Productions.
Speaking at the press conference post the puja, director Vivek shared, “The story is rooted in Mysore and spans the years 2001 to 2011, portraying significant events from that time. Sanchith was impressed with the story in the very first meeting and gave his nod. Narrating the story to Sudeep Sir was an exhilarating experience.”
Lead actress Kajal expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m thankful to the entire team and director Vivek for this opportunity. I’m thrilled to work with Sanchi, and audiences can expect a great film from our team.”
Actor Mayur Patel, part of the cast, said, “This is my first time playing such a role in my career. Launching new talent gives me immense happiness. Kannada cinema needs more heroes, and introducing Sanchith is a proud moment. I’m delighted to collaborate with Supriyanvi Productions.”
Producer Yogi G. Raj added, “Director Vivek was introduced to us by actor Dhananjaya. After hearing the story, we felt Sanchith would be perfect for the role and pitched it to Sudeep Sir. He wholeheartedly supported the project and has worked tirelessly to bring it to life.”
Sanchith, the lead actor, said, “I was captivated by the story from the very first narration. This film brings me closer to the beautiful city of Mysore. This is Supriyanvi Productions’ first film, and I’m thrilled to be part of such an exciting collaboration in Kannada cinema.”
The movie is a crime thriller rooted in Mysore. The first look and title are planned to be unveiled on February 5, coinciding with Sanchith’s birthday. The film features a stellar cast, including Mayur Patel, Vijay Raghavendra’s nephew Jay, Bigg Boss fame Hamsa, and Malashree. With music by Charan Raj, cinematography by Shekhar Chandra, and art direction by Vishwas, this project promises to be a visual treat.
