‘Matthe Matthe’ is gearing up for its release on January 19, promising a unique blend of comedy as its central theme. Dr. Arun Hosakoppa, a multi-talented individual serving as a writer, director, and producer, reveals his commitment to contributing 25 percent of the film’s profits to support struggling artists within the Kannada cinema industry.

After a meticulous four-year journey crafting this humor-driven narrative, Director Arun shares that the storyline revolves around four journalism graduates embarking on the challenging task of creating a film to launch their television channel. Drawing parallels to his own struggles as a newcomer in the filmmaking industry, Arun emphasizes the hardships faced during the film’s production.

Expressing his long-cherished dream of filmmaking, Arun urges Kannada audiences to watch ‘Matthe Matthe’ before passing judgments. He acknowledges that audience reactions, whether critical or appreciative, are beyond his control once the film is released. Additionally, Arun hints at three more upcoming projects post the release of this film.

The film features the esteemed actor Umesh MS in a distinctive role, portraying a character with an inclination towards attractive women and investing in the film. Popularly known as Umeshanna, he engages in a dream sequence, dancing alongside renowned actress Sanjana to the iconic song ‘Nee Bandhu Nintaaga’ from Dr. Rajakumar’s film ‘Kasthuri Nivasa.’ Umeshanna emphasizes the collaborative effort behind the film, comparing it to the diverse components needed for a flavorful Sambar preparation.

In ‘Matthe Matthe,’ a fusion of both new and seasoned talent comes together. Arun, as the producer and director, has dedicated substantial effort to shape the film, a sentiment echoed by Umeshanna. The film’s music, crafted by Kannada Ghazal singer Imtiaz Sultan in his second film, incorporates snippets of a popular yesteryear song. Singers Rashmi Chikmagalur, Ranebennur Tippesh, Rajasri, and Soumya contribute to the musical repertoire.

Swathi, making her debut, expresses satisfaction with the filmmaking experience, highlighting the team’s cooperative spirit. RJ Rickey, in his inaugural film, brings eight years of radio jockey experience to the project. Annie, the dance director, steps into her debut role after participating in 750 film songs as a co-dancer and anticipates choreographing independently for 12 songs post this film.

The cast includes three late veteran actors, Sathyajith, Rockline Sudhakar, and Manadip Rai, alongside supporting roles played by Mukyamantri Chandru, Dingri Nagaraj, Honnavalli Krishna, Tumakur Mohan, Prakash Tuminadu, Suma Rao, Kulla Ananth, Silli Lalli Srinivas Gowda, Meese Anjanappa, Rathnamala, and others.
