The latest offering from director Devaraj Poojary, ‘Matsyagandha,’ starring contemporary Kannada and Tulu cinema actor Pruthvi Ambaar, has quickly captivated audiences, garnering significant attention in a short span.

During a special event at the MMB Legacy on Monday night, Karnataka Fisheries Minister Shri Mankala S Doctor officially unveiled the trailer, pledging to attend the film’s premiere on opening day. Overcome with emotion, Shri Mankala S Doctor emphasized the film’s significance to his hometown.

Following the success of ‘Kinaare,’ director Devaraj Poojary returns with ‘Matsyagandha,’ a poignant narrative centered around fishermen’s lives, filmed in locales such as Honnavara and Kumata, primarily catering to the Uttar Karnataka region. Notably, the film’s re-recording, skillfully executed by Prashanth Siddi, adds another layer of depth to the viewing experience, as highlighted by director Devaraj Poojary.
Cinematographer Praveen Prabhu, in his third collaboration with the director, lauds the film’s natural and authentic settings, which greatly enhance its visual appeal. Nagaraj serves as the executive producer for ‘Matsyagandha.’
