Experience a heartwarming ‘Guru Vandana’ ceremony hosted by the renowned lyricist behind more than 100 Kannada film songs, Shivananje Gowda, and his companions at Loyola High School in Gadenahalli, Haasan district.
Former students, who were taught from 1st to 10th standard three decades ago, graciously invited and felicitated their teachers. Notably, the graduates of the 1994-95 batch, who completed their 10th standard, took center stage during this unforgettable event. Shivananje Gowda, who has penned lyrics for over 85 Kannada films and albums, is also an alumnus of this esteemed institution.
In addition to Shivananje Gowda, the ‘Guruvandana’ occasion saw participation from Prashanth Babu, John Baptist, Ashok, Indrakumar, Anitha, Lakshmi Devi, Vimala, and other attendees.
Sister Lovisia, Sister Shalini, Joseph, Vijayendra Rao, Venkatamana Bhat, Reeta, Iju, Jasintha, and Sandhya illuminated the ceremonial lamp and received the gracious ‘Guru Kanike’.
Shivananje Gowda has succeeded in uniting a cohort of former students from the school, exemplified by the rendition of his song “Bangarada Makkalu” during this event.
Of the 62 students from the 1994-95 batches, a strong presence of 50 students was noted, alongside 9 out of 15 teaching faculty members who participated in this ‘Guruvandana’ tribute.
