The tall and talented actor Vasishta N. Simha is immensely happy about the making of the Kannada film ‘Love Li,’ which is hitting the silver screen on June 14. At a pre-release meet, Vasishta disclosed, “I will take it to the grave,” meaning the memories of this film will stay with him until the end of his life.
Here’s what Vasishta N. Simha had to say about the talented director, Dattanna, co-actors, technicians, and others involved:
“‘Love Li’ is a completely different film in my career. It is the proudest film of my career, and everyone who worked on it is proud of it. The movie has many special features.
I met director Chetan during the making of ‘Mufti.’ Since then, he has become like family to me. He took my advice seriously and made this film. He has created a mature cinema at a young age. I was thrilled when Chetan Keshav told me the story of ‘Love Li.’ The story is deep and multi-dimensional. It is not easy to convince Dattanna, as we all know. He likes the film and speaks well of my character, which feels like winning a hundred awards. I am not sad that this film did not win any awards; his words are a great reward for me. To me, Dattanna is a ‘Master of Cinema Acting.’
Emotions, relationships, and values are the highlights of the film. My character has good chemistry with all the other characters. Just as in life, where we have equations with different people, I have equations with all the characters in this film. This is a pure commercial film with songs, fights, and everything else. Above all, emotions, relationships, and values are the standout features of this film.
Another beautiful aspect of this film is the Rs.1.5 crore set of two-story buildings on Malpe Beach. This set is a tremendous attraction. Art director Prathap R. Mendon has created a lovely set at Malpe Beach, which is a first for Kannada cinema. Many onlookers visited this place as a tourist spot, with some even asking if it was an ad film shoot. Imagine a swimming pool on a set erected on sand. It is classy.
Chetan Keshav has written the story, screenplay, and directed the movie ‘Love Li,’ produced by Rabindra Kumar under the Abhuvanas Creations banner.
Stefi Patel, Samiksha, veteran actor Dattanna, Malavika Avinash, Achyut Kumar, Baby Vamshika, Anjani Kashyap, Cockroach Sudhi, and many others have acted in this film. The film features music by Anoop Seelin and cinematography by Ashwin Kennedy.
