An emotional family entertainer backed by commercial elements of songs and action ‘Love Li’ is loaded with contents spread out in 169 minutes of narration by debutant director Chetan Keshav. Of course the director is intelligent but he should have chiseled his screenplay and pruned a few portions. The terrible action portions are in tune with the mass audience. In addition to it, the level of ‘Love’ Chetan Keshav has described in this film is something special and wonderful. After love is what life is!
The six foot tall handsome hunk Vasishta Simha career best no doubt but at the same time the fierce action could have been toned down. To put down the villains there are several ways than what is shown in this ‘Love Li’. However ‘Love Li’ is backed by a good family bondage, love, comedy, sense of belongingness.
Jai (Vasishta Simha) is an orphan who grows up in the society with a fierce outlook. He put down the enemies on his way and was not aware of what love is. At this point of time enters Janani (Stefy Patel) who is madly in love with Jai. She has identified the good heart in him. Jai takes a lot of time to return his love but he is very firm and strong once he commits in love.
The love life turns to family life against all odds. The couple Jai and Janani live at the beach side house. Jai has given up his past for a cozy life. He works as a key man in a fashion designing company headed by Sadhu Kokila. Enter the destiny after a girl child to Jai and Janani – that is the HIV infection in Janani.
Jai with emotions on the one side digs out the reason for such contact with his wife. He is startled to know a spurious gang that is spreading this disease. Shocked to the core, Jai first takes care of his wife Janani by giving treatment in London. Then the stiff battle he faces obviously leads to the end of deadly activities.
Vasishta N Simha is surely going to reach the masses from his dialogues, action and looks. This is a brilliant performance so far as the film has many layers. Stefy Patel is a treat to watch and this Jharkhand beauty has a bright future in the tinsel town.
Dattanna and Chitkala Biradar pair is another beauty of this film. The purity of love – the significance of life is touched by the director in this aged couple track. Sadhu Kokila and Suraj comedy brings good relief. The talented Malavika Avinash as doctor has given additional support. Baby Vanshika has a cute and short presence.
Achyuth Kumar is as agile as ever, the new villain has given his best; Sameeksha looks pretty and emoted well, Shobaraj and cockroach Sudhi are in wafer thin roles.
It is Anoop Seelin’s musical scores that give big relief – the lyrics of Kalyan, Maravanthe and Chetan Keshav are superb. Two songs ‘Bayasi Bayasi Nanna…and Ibbani Hanigala Saalu…are top among all.
The art direction especially of Pratap – two storied buildings on the one side of Malpe Beach is excellent, the interiors are well decorated and the exterior looks in the cinematography of Ashwini Kennedy are glorious.
A sincere and hard work supported well by producer Ravindrakumar of Abhuvanasa Creations is undoubtedly a competitive film.
