The title of the film Langoti Man has raised many eyebrows. Produced under the Tanu Talkies banner and written and directed by Sanjota Bhandari (who previously directed Mirchi Mandakki Khadak Chai in 2015), this intelligent and qualified writer makes another daring attempt, starting with the title, after a long hiatus.
The teaser for Langoti Man was recently released, with actor Sharan unveiling it and wishing the team good luck. Sharan expressed curiosity about the need for a heroine in a film with such a male-centric title.
Director Sanjota Bhandari explained that this is her second film, and the concept emerged while she was working on the story of another project. Even while developing that story, Langoti Man kept coming to mind. Eventually, Langoti Man became a movie. The real hero in this movie is the “Langoti.” The star cast includes Akash Rambo, Dhirendra, Mahalakshmi, Huli Karthik, Samhita Vinya, Gilli Nat, Sneha Rishi, Pawan, and Auto Nagaraj. Many friends contributed to the story and dialogue, and I am confident that the film will succeed. I extend my thanks to Sharan for releasing the teaser and to my team for their cooperation.
After attending the event and listening to the director, I was impressed by the hope she has for the film and her way of introducing everyone on the team without taking credit herself. Even today, people prefer content-oriented films. Sharan wished for Langoti Man to join that line.
South DCC President O. Manjunath, who attended as the chief guest, also wished the film crew well. Actors such as Akash Rambo, Dhirendra, and Samhita Vinya, who have roles in the film, spoke about their experiences.
