The scion of Mysuru, Yaduveer Wodeyar, clapped the clapboard for the new Kannada film ‘Kunte Bille’ on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya.

The director of moderate films such as Daksha Yagna, Tarle Village, and Ruthumathi, GBS Sidde Gowda, has taken up ‘Kunte Bille’ as his new film for direction. The title ‘Kunte Bille’ is familiar to people from the olden days, as it was a village game famous even in cities.

Meghashri, who has acted in more than ten films, will be seen as the heroine. Kishore, Pavitra Lokesh, Shankar Aswath, Chandraprabha, etc., will play supporting roles.

Kuntebille is a game we all used to play in our youth. Director Siddegowda said that by keeping the same title, they are going to encompass all aspects of love, pain, and lust.

Producer S.B. Shiva said, “We have developed a good subject for Jeevita Creation to make a film. Kumar Gowda from the construction field is the co-producer. He wanted to enter the cinema 30 years ago, but that wasn’t possible. Now I am fulfilling his dream through my son Yadhu. My son was interested in theatre. Now, after completing his studies, he is pursuing acting. He has a good story to tell. I am confident that the movie will turn out well.”

Meghashree said, “The script is good, and so is the title. I’ve never heard this kind of story in Kannada. They have assembled a good team, and I am going to play the role of a girl from a rich family in a village.”

Yadu, playing the lead, thanked everyone for trusting him. Veteran actor Shankar Aswath said, “There is a belief that any good deed done on Akshaya Tritiya festival Day will bring good results. The same goes for this film. I am playing the role of the heroine’s father. The movie depicts how important a rural game can be in life. I am confident that this will be a different and interesting film.”

The dialogues, written by Madhu Pari, incorporate real incidents surrounding the game ‘Kunte Bille’ into the film.
