Ganesh Chaturthi festivities continue in full swing, as the Kannada film industry rejoices over the success of “Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi,” which recently celebrated its 25-day silver jubilee.
Contrary to the belief that audiences aren’t frequenting Kannada cinemas, the Prashanth G. Rudrappa-produced and Srinivasaraju-directed film Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, featuring Golden Star Ganesh in the lead role, has completed 25 successful days since its release. To commemorate the film’s success, the producers organized a grand celebration at Prasanna Theatre, honoring everyone who contributed to the movie’s journey.
The event saw mementos presented to the cast and crew, who played a pivotal role in making the film a success. Prominent attendees included lead actor Ganesh, along with Sharanya Shetty, Shashikumar, Sadhu Kokila, Srinivasamurthy, Ramakrishna, Ambujakshi, music composer Saikarthik, editor K.M. Prakash, stunt director Different Danny, lyricist Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, singers Jaskaran Singh, Indu Nagaraj, and Prithvi Bhatt, as well as executive producer Sharath Bhojaraj. Producer Prashanth’s daughter, Prerana Prashanth, was also present at the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, director Srinivasaraju expressed his heartfelt thanks, stating, “The success of this film is due to three main pillars: first, the audience and media, second, the lead actor Ganesh, and third, music director Arjun Janya, who provided six hit songs for the film.” He further added, “I dedicate this victory to my entire team and am especially grateful to the producers for their support. From the beginning, I’ve said that this story was crafted with Ganesh in mind, and I stand by that statement even today. This role was tailor-made for him. I had also promised that I would reach the audience through songs instead of teasers and trailers, and that has proven true.”
Lead actor Ganesh, while expressing his gratitude to the team and audience, said, “Though the director has praised me, the lion’s share of this success belongs to him. He worked tirelessly day and night to achieve this milestone. I also want to thank the technicians and my fellow actors for their invaluable support.”
Ganesh shared a personal anecdote from a recent trip to Dubai for a special screening of the film. “After the screening, director Srinivasaraju, Rangayana Raghu, and I went shopping. I have a bit of a passion for fashion, and a jacket immediately caught my eye. Raghu told me to buy it, and when I asked why, he said the jacket had ‘GF’ written on it, which stood for ‘Golden Fans.’ He urged me to wear it to the 25th-day celebration and dedicate the win to my fans,” Ganesh said with a smile.
The actor concluded the event by expressing his gratitude to everyone involved in the film’s success, from the production team to the fans, who have supported Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi throughout its journey.
The celebration of the film’s ongoing victory continues, proving that Kannada cinema still has the power to draw audiences and deliver hits, even in challenging times for the industry.
