The Kannada Film Producers Association (KFPA) is perhaps the first cinema industry association in India to own its office. No other film fraternity in India has a dedicated office for its producer sector.
The inauguration ceremony for the new KFPA building, located at Sivananda Circle, will be held on June 30. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will officiate the inauguration.
Speaking about the event, Umesh Bankar, President of the Producers’ Association, said, “The new building of the Producers’ Association is the result of the hard work of many individuals. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will inaugurate the new building. Members of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, the Film Federation of India, and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce will also participate in this event.”
Hombale Films, R.S. Gowda, the Chamber of Commerce, and many others contributed to the construction of this new building. Producer Ramesh Reddy played a significant role in its construction. Sara Govindu, Chairman of the Building Construction Committee of the Producers’ Association, noted that Karnataka is the only state in South India where producers have their own dedicated building.
Praveen Kumar, Secretary of the Producers’ Association, along with M.G. Ramamurthy, Ramesh Yadav, and R.S. Gowda, also participated in a media briefing on this occasion.
