The teaser of the upcoming Kannada action film KD – The Devil was officially released on July 10 during a grand teaser launch event held in Mumbai. Directed by Prem, known for his earlier work Jogi, the film features Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Touted as a commercial action entertainer, the teaser introduces the two as powerful characters “bonded by blood.”
Running for two minutes and eleven seconds, the teaser is presented in five languages — Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. It opens with Sanjay Dutt’s character Dhak Deva and Dhruva Sarja’s Kaali Dasa, also known as KD, who plays the titular role. The teaser continues with dramatic character introductions backed by stylized action sequences and impactful dialogues, aligning with the mass appeal of the film.
Following the introduction of the lead pair, the teaser also unveils the rest of the ensemble cast in a format that reflects the character reveal posters released earlier. These include Ramesh Aravind as Dharma, Reeshma Nanaiah as Machhlakshmi, Shilpa Shetty as Satyavathi, and Ravichandran as Annayyapa, among others.
Produced on a grand scale, KD – The Devil aims to deliver a high-energy, pan-Indian cinematic experience. With its first glimpse now out, the film sets expectations for an action-packed narrative filled with intense performances and commercial appeal.
