Some titles capture the essence of a film perfectly. ‘Karnataka Loves Kerala’ recently held its muhurta celebration, and an interesting fact emerged: a mechanic steps into the role of the hero.

Sandalwood now offers numerous opportunities for newcomers, whose films are gaining appreciation from cinegoers. Another talented and youthful team is currently crafting a web series titled ‘Karnataka Loves Kerala’. The inaugural segment of the series was recently filmed at Bengaluru’s Sri Venkateswara Temple. The series was inaugurated by Garuda Ram of KGF fame, with the camera being switched on by Veerakaputra Srinivas.

Young talent Lokesh is handling the action sequences for the web series ‘Karnataka Loves Kerala’. In addition to directing, he is also trying his luck as a lead actor. Lokesh, a bus mechanic, has previously directed several short films and played minor roles in numerous movies. Now, he’s portraying himself as a bona fide hero, with Jyoti and Sahana Saath cast as his romantic counterparts.

The web series is produced by MMK Balu and scripted by Lokesh himself. True to its title, it’s a love story. Cinematography is handled by Anand Ilayaraja, music by Praveen Srinivas, and editing by Mahesh. The team is gearing up to shoot in Kerala starting next week.
