The Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah warmly recollected the significant contributions of Karnataka Rathna Dr. Puneeth Rajakumar during an event held at Radisson Blue on Monday evening.
Appu, as he is affectionately known, consistently maintained a positive outlook and garnered more popularity compared to Dr. Rajakumar, the iconic figure of Kannada cinema. The event was organized by PRK Studio and N3K Design Studio, who unveiled a commemorative statue of the late Puneeth Rajakumar. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held one of these statues during the unveiling. He was regarded as a son to every family, universally respected, and had he still been with us, he would have undoubtedly achieved even more in his lifetime.
The passing of Appu represents a profound loss to the state of Karnataka. His professional conduct reflected profound respect for both his seniors and juniors. He exemplified strong moral values, and the creation of statues like these serves as a powerful means to keep his memory alive, as noted by Siddaramaiah in a packed auditorium.
The event was attended by Minister Bhairathi Basavaraj, Smt. Ashwini Puneeth Rajakumar, her daughter Vandita, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Mangala Raghavendra Rajakumar, Guru Rajakumar, and others.
