Kannadigas are known for their support of fresh ventures in Kannada cinema. ‘Kappu Bilupina Naduve’ represents one such innovative narrative infused with a dose of horror. Produced by Dharmendra, a seasoned Ayurvedic practitioner with deep ties to the Kannada film industry, and directed and starring Vasanth Vishnu, a newcomer to Kannada cinema.
Director and protagonist Vasanth Vishnu expressed that this marks his directorial debut, having previously portrayed lead roles in four films and contributed to the direction department. ‘Kappu Bilupina Naduve’ explores the interplay between light and dark, akin to positive and negative energy, revolving around the realm of YouTubers while offering a unique take on the horror genre, devoid of typical ghostly apparitions. Filmed predominantly amidst dense forests thirty kilometers from Kanakapur, this Kannada and Tamil bilingual production is slated for imminent release.
Producer Dharmendra emphasized his intention to deliver a film with a meaningful message, echoing the sentiments of director Vasanth Vishnu.
Dr. V. Nagendraprasad penned three songs, featuring vocals by Santosh Venki and Sridhar Kashyap, renowned for their contributions to ‘KGF’, with Rishal Sai serving as the music director, and the tracks being distributed by Zee Music South.
The ensemble cast, including veteran actor Biradar, comedian Harish, Naveen, Maheen, and Tejaswini, shared insights into their respective roles.
