The 69th National Film Awards have brought three accolades that the Kannada film industry can take pride in.
Our journalist colleague, BN Subramanya, has been honored with the national award for Best Critic, a well-deserved recognition and achievement.
Furthermore, a special mention is dedicated to the biography of Padmasri Dr. Bharathi Vishnuvardhan titled ‘Bale Bangara’, skillfully directed by Anirudh Jathakara, who happens to be the son-in-law of the late Dr. Vishnuvardhana. Once again, this recognition takes the form of a prestigious certificate presentation.
The runaway blockbuster, ‘777 Charlie’, which garnered a staggering revenue of over Rs. 175 crores, directed by debutant Kiranraj K, has been rightfully crowned as the Best Regional Cinema by the esteemed National Film Awards Committee.
Adding to the glory, the renowned actor Rakshit Shetty’s production company, Paramvah Studios Private Limited, has been bestowed with the prestigious Rajat Kamal award along with a substantial cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.
From www.flickfeeds.com we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the distinguished winners of these awards.
