We have seen films become successful within just one or two days of release, with milestones such as 25, 50, 100 days, and silver jubilees. But for the first time, producer, director, actor, and writer Balachandra celebrated a teaser success meet.
“The present-day media has given me this status. In four days, the teaser received 1 million organic views, which prompted me to address the media,” said Balachandra, a mechanical engineer by profession and a businessman. He experienced both loss and gain with his first film “Mahanubhavaru” and is now in the gaining process with his lifetime savings invested in this film.
Of course, the teaser is captivating, but even more captivating is the song “Prema Shringara Deha Madhusaara,” which features Balachandra and Apoorva. Santosh Naik penned this song, and it was shot in three days and nights by cinematographer Manjunath Hegde.
According to the multi-talented Balachandra, he is receiving a positive response. For him, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar is the first inspiration. When he made “Mahanubhavaru,” Kannada cinema star Appu came without hesitation and delivered a song for the film. “The happiness was something beyond imagination,” says Balachandra.
Balachandra traveled 13,000 kilometers to find a suitable place to shoot. At Karkala, he found a place called Kananjaaru and conducted shoots at the 100-year-old Pattada Mane. He shot the film in the surroundings of Kananjaaru, which led him to choose the place name as the title for his film. “Kananjaaru” is a suspense thriller with unique beauty, and cinematography is the backbone of the film. KS Sridhar, Ramakrishna, Sharmitha Gowda, and Karthik Poojari are part of the cast.
Apoorva has a cameo role, working for six days. “This particular role is very special for me. Initially, I thought it might not work out, but when I saw the teaser, I changed my mind,” she added.
With its dark shades showcasing the dark side of life, cinematographer Manjunath Hegde skillfully worked on “Kananjaaru.” This is his 10th film in Kannada as a cinematographer.
