The first poster of the movie “Kalaghatta” was released on the occasion of Ugadi at the sanctum of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
Known as the Kamadhenu of Kaliyuga, who grants devotees’ wishes, Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Brindavana at Mantralaya witnessed the unveiling of the first poster of “Kalaghatta”, a film produced by Lion Chikke Gowda T.C. Talagawadi and directed by K. Prakash Ambale, on the auspicious day of Ugadi. The current pontiff, Sri Subudhendra Teertha, blessed the film team during the event.

“Kalaghatta” is a story that unfolds across two time periods. The first half takes place thirty years ago, while the second half is set in the present. The film also showcases the essence of rural folklore and traditional arts. The shooting of the film has been completed in Mysore, Nanjangud, and Kallale. By unveiling the first poster at Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s sanctum on Ugadi, the makers have kickstarted the film’s promotions. “Kalaghatta” is director Prakash Ambale’s second film, following “Khali Dabba”, which is also set for release soon.
Directed, written, and scripted by Prakash Ambale, the film features cinematography by Sadashiva Hiremath and Raj Kadur, music by A.M. Neel, editing by Venki U.D.V., and action choreography by Mass Mada. Actors Abhilash and Nitin play the male leads, while Megha and Kushi are the female leads. Veteran artists Shobh Raj, Bhavya, Prashant, and several theatre actors are also part of the cast.
