Like all newcomers, director Samarth with some pertinent topic arrives to shock the audience in the second half. Samarth’s theory in the film of a mysterious place in the forest is filled with hallucination. The 7 saga of oceans, days, continents, Rishis, etc., is tucked in the second half and mixed with a scientific formula.
No doubt, Samarth and the team have done strenuous work, but the major attraction comes in the second half of the film. Till then, the audience has to wait patiently.
The film, with 109 minutes, Kaadu Male is surrounded by two characters mainly – Meera and Richard Thimpson. Meera is accidentally in the Kaadu Male forest area. The topics of paranormal activities, subconscious memory, quantum physics, negative energy, electromagnetic power, psychic vibration, Aham Brahmasmi, one cycle of 7 repetitions and 7 looks identical in this universe, one mushroom growing in the forest filled with mysterious energy, the Kaadu Male area that gives no hunger, sleep, not aware of day and night, horrible weird things happening, etc., follow like a loaded gun in the second half. These aspects keep the audience’s brain very active, and one has to shrewdly watch this film.
Of course, the film is difficult to digest with too many issues cropping up in the second half. The emerging Kaadu Male effect is also a bit surprising for the viewers.
Sangeetha as Meera has showcased her talent, and she has a very good future. The other protagonist coming in the second half, Harshan, has remained almost perfect to his character conceived by the director. The roles of Johnny and Suhas are wafer-thin in the film.
The background score is startling at places, and the cinematography plus effects for this film Kaadu Male are adequate.
The brain-scamming issues fall out in the second half. The thrill and new experience are no doubt guaranteed.
