Director Simple Suni recently unveiled the title of his new film, featuring Yash Shetty, who has won audiences’ hearts with his remarkable performances. Following the reveal, Suni and the team discussed the project in detail.
Set in the semi-forest regions of Malnad, which lies between the hills and the plains, the story unfolds in a culturally rich area surrounded by dense forests. The film presents a love story set against this enchanting backdrop. A significant portion of the movie was shot in the forests near Subrahmanya. Yash Shetty plays the lead role, with Harshitha Ramachandra as the female lead. Supporting actors include Ugram Manju and Bal Rajawadi. The shooting has been completed, and the film is expected to be released in about a month. Director Rakshith Kumar, who hails from Puttur, stated, “I have been connected to the film industry for the past ten years. My friends have always supported my passion for direction. This movie is produced under the banner of Sahyadri Studios, with Simple Suni presenting our film.”
Yash Shetty emphasized that the story is the true hero of the film, saying, “The narrative is well-crafted by the director. It’s unique and different. Initially, I was supposed to play Ugram Manju’s role, but the director later offered me the lead role instead. Both the role and the film are excellent. I thank Suni for supporting the team.”
Actress Harshitha Ramachandra shared her character’s perspective: “I play Divya, a responsible middle-class girl from the coastal region. She falls in love with a carefree man. On one side, there’s family, and on the other, there’s love. What will I choose between the two? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.”
Simple Suni praised editor Manu Shedgar, stating, “Manu has edited many of my films, and through him, I got introduced to this team. I’m always here to support the film. The movie has shaped up well.” Editor Manu Shedgar and producer Prajeet Hegde also urged to support “Jungle Mangle.”
