With an appealing title, the ‘Jotheyagiru’ team proudly presents enchanting tunes and an attractive trailer. During the media briefing on Wednesday, the team unveiled three melodious songs and a captivating trailer that has captured the audience’s attention and is drawing them to theaters.
Based on a 2009 period story, Jotheyagiru revolves around the confusion caused by a missed call on a keypad mobile to an unknown person. Director Satish Kumar has crafted the script with two intertwining tracks, weaving together a 15-year journey as an assistant director, associate director, and co-director. The film not only explores the missed call confusion between a boy and a girl but also delves into a love story entangled with money-minded and innocent elements. The film features songs by K Kalyan, Mavarshi, and the director himself.
Jotheyagiru stars Venkatesh Hegde, one of the five friends investing in the film. Sunil Kanchan, in the second lead from Kundapura, expresses that it has been a longstanding dream of the team to create a wholesome film.
Rashmi Gowda, having two films to her credit, joined the team in 2019. She reflects on how the film convincingly transports the audience back to the situations of 2009. An IT professional, Rashmi Gowda has previously acted as the heroine in the Kannada film ‘Rajalakshmi’ and has experience in anchoring.
Shanker Narayan, a veteran actor on both the small and big screen, has played a supportive role, guiding the team whenever necessary. He believes that the film will be interesting for family audiences.
During the media briefing of ‘Jotheyagiru,’ Sudhamma, Santosh from ‘My Autograph,’ Ganesh, and Manju also shared their thoughts. The film, with a U/A certificate from the censor board, features five compositions by Vinu Manasu, Satish Chandraiah, Raja Shiva Shanker, and Anand Ilayaraja, with cinematography by Renu Movies.
Captured in Kalasa, Sakaleshpura, and Kundapura surroundings, the film stars Venkatesh Hegde, Sunil Kanchan, Rashmi Gowda, and Pooja Achar in prominent roles. Supporting cast includes Shankar Narayan, Sudhir, Sudha, Yashoda, Ashwini, Santosh, Rajashekhar, Manju, and others.
