It’s observed that numerous directors emerge from various technical backgrounds. Presently, Surprise takes on the role of distributing Kannada films, with BG Chandankumar venturing into directing.

The allure of the cinematic realm, Mayaloka, captivates everyone. Aspirants aiming for acting careers transition into directors and producers, while those aspiring to direct evolve into actors and directors themselves. However, having a distributor turn director is noteworthy. A decade ago, aspiring to direct, Chandankumar relocated from Mandya to Gandhi Nagar, nurturing his ambition while functioning as a distributor. Through this journey, he comprehended all facets of filmmaking, culminating in his transition into directing. Recognizing that a director must understand the process of delivering their film to the audience, Chandan Kumar has been directing for over a decade, equipped with the knowledge of captivating audiences through storytelling. His latest endeavor is titled “Jana”.

The auspicious Muhurta ceremony for the film took place simply at the Srisiddhivinayak Temple near Devaya Park. The director’s father, Govindaraj, initiated the first scene with a clap, while senior producer Chinne Gowdru extended his best wishes by operating the camera.

A promising newcomer, Chetan Kumar, makes his debut as the lead in the film “Jana”. It embarks on a journey narrative, with the director intending to shoot across all districts of the state. Chandankumar, crafting the script with consideration for both the masses and classes of the audience, hints at an underworld theme in the film.

Smt. Yashodamma Govindaraj and Deepa Chandankumar produce the film under Sakkarenadu Combines, with Narasimhamurthy serving as the executive producer. Munjane Manju handles cinematography, Karthik Ale composes the music, and Challenging Suri oversees choreography for “Jana”.
