September is drawing to a close, and as the month concludes, we find ourselves witnessing an intriguing battle at the box office. “Tothapuri 2,” featuring the talented Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh, Daali Dhananjay, and Adhiti Prabhudeva, and the golden star Ganesh, along with Rukmini Vasanth and Reeshma Nanaiah, is set to captivate audiences.

Jaggesh, a sitting Rajya Sabha member and a veteran actor celebrated for his comedic prowess, takes the helm in the sequel, “Tothapuri 2.” Notably, the first installment of this film did not perform well at the box office. However, the addition of Daali Dhananjay to the cast promises to be a box office boon for the producer of successful films, KA Suresh.

Vijaya Prasad, typically known for his low-key profile, has taken on the roles of storywriter, screenwriter, and director for this film, which is produced by Suresh Arts and Mon Flicks Studios. Niranjan Babu serves as the cinematographer, and Arun Andrew is responsible for the music. The cast includes Dattanna, Suman Ranganath, Veena Sunder, Hemadath, and other talented individuals.

The more prominent of the two films releasing this week is “Banadariyalli,” a Kannada film shot in various breathtaking locations. Remarkably, this marks the 100th distribution from KRG Studios.

The title “Baanadariyalli” belongs to Golden star Ganesh, in collaboration with director Preetham Gubbi. Ganesh shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “Preetham Gubbi has crafted a compelling narrative, and his dedication to this project is evident as he works late into the evening, unlike his previous endeavors.”

In an exciting twist, it has been revealed that in “Baanadariyalli,” the protagonist, Golden Star Ganesh, embarks on a journey to Africa. This film is set against the backdrop of sports, with Ganesh portraying a cricketer—a departure from his usual roles.

Additionally, the leading lady, Rukmini Vasanth, plays the role of a professional swimmer in this film, incorporating water-based sports into the storyline.

The film boasts a captivating narrative from Preetha Jayaram, with dialogues penned by the esteemed writer Manju Masthi. Arjun Janya, known for scoring melodious tunes, contributes to the musical score, adding to the film’s appeal.

Abhilash Kallathi, who showcased his talent in “Love 360,” takes charge of the camera work for this film, while KM Prakash handles the editing duties. Srivari Talkies is the production company behind this exciting venture, and the film features Reeshma Nanaiah from “Ek Love Ya” and the veteran Rangayana Raghu among its cast members.

The film “Baana Dariyalli” has gained attention largely due to the association with Appu’s iconic song line. Appu, known as Master Lohith in the 1981 Kannada film “Bhagyavantha,” sang the song “Baanadariyalli,” with lyrics by Chi Udayashanker and music by TG Lingappa. The memorable scene featured Dr. KS Ashwath and Master Lohith, also known as Appu.
