It is not all that nice for the Kannada film “Nice Road,” which is at the release juncture. The NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Limited) of Ashok Kheney has raised objections to the title and served a court notice to the film “Nice Road.” The trailer, released by Aura One Music on July 26, garnered 11,000 views. The objections claim: “This is not a Nice Road; it’s a Horrible Road. This is false and misleading. It is highly defamatory.”
According to this statement in the trailer, the notice further demands that the trailer be withdrawn from all social media platforms and that dissemination of the trailer and promotional material for the film “Nice Road” cease immediately.
The notice further states that failure to comply will be deemed a refusal, and clients will initiate immediate legal proceedings against the filmmakers, both civil and criminal, entirely at their own risk concerning costs and consequences without further reference or notice.
King and Partridge advocate and senior consultant Vidur Nair issued the notice.
Gopal Halepalya, the producer of “Nice Road,” says that changing the name will cost a lot of money and take a lot of time. The title “Nice Road” was registered with the KFCC, and after the shooting, the film has already been censored.
However, the NICE company has now suddenly issued a notice to change the name. Regarding this matter, producer Gopal Halepalya said he will decide after consulting with A.N. Rajugowda, who financed the movie, and Dharma, one of the actors in the movie.
