INTERNATIONAL HONOR FOR NAGENDRA PRASAD

Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, a versatile lyricist who has gained immense popularity over the last two and a half decades, has added another accolade to his name.

Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad received the International Peace Award at a gala function in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, organized by a coalition of Hindu, Muslim, and Christian communities.

The event marked the 15th anniversary of HUM, an interfaith organization. During the ceremony, Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad’s famous song “Neene Rama Neene Alla” was recognized, highlighting his illustrious career as a multi-talented personality in Kannada cinema.

Four Indians, including Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, were honored with this prestigious award, along with representatives from twenty-two other countries, in a colorful ceremony held at the five-star Hotel Park Regis in Karama, Dubai.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including His Excellency Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooqi, His Excellency Juma Al Madani, and Her Excellency Munira Al Balushi, members of Dubai’s royal family, along with other dignitaries.

Mr. Shakeel Hassan, the founder and international president of the organization, delivered the introductory speech, reflecting on the establishment of HUM fifteen years ago. He emphasized that Hindus, Muslims, and Christians are children of the same mother and should live in peace and harmony, setting a positive example for society.

Organization leaders Danish Muhammad, Hamid Sagar, and Syed Ahmed Basrur were also present at the event, where those who worked tirelessly to ensure the program’s success were honored as well.
