During the initial phase of publicity, the team behind ‘Olave Mandhara 2’ presented two songs to the press during a media gathering. These songs, namely ‘Olavina Maleyali’ and the film’s title track, hinted at what the movie holds. It’s worth noting that this film is unrelated to the 2011 hit film ‘Olave Mandhara,’ directed by Jayathirtha.

At the song launch event, the spotlight was on producer Ramesh Margol, who hails from Kalburgi. His straightforward and down-to-earth demeanor garnered attention. Ramesh Margol, an admirer of Hindi actor Sanjay Dutt, openly shared his desire to create a Hindi film with Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt, relying on the strength given by the divine. Expressing gratitude to his team, Ramesh Margol acknowledged their dedicated efforts for the film. ‘Olave Mandhara 2’ primarily revolves around a love story, devoid of action sequences or commercial elements. Notably, Ramesh Marugol, a ZP member and a political activist associated with the Congress party, also has a role in the film. Alongside his film commitments, he manages a land and transport business. The film has received support from producers Chetan Raj, Shivanand Patil, Sunil Dodmani, and TM Satish, with co-producers Namdev and Yalla Ling. Ramesh Margol finds greater fulfillment in acting than in his ZP membership role.

Dr. Kiran T, a medical professional with a passion for music, has both composed music and penned lyrics for the film. Dr. Kiran T extended gratitude to esteemed director R Chandru for introducing him to this creative field. The film features four songs crafted by him.

Esteemed actor Bhavya portrays the mother of the protagonist, Sanath, in ‘Olave Mandhara 2.’ Bhavya’s character encourages her son to seek prosperity in the city while the movie is set against a rural backdrop. Vijayalakshmi, adept at character roles, takes on the role of the grandmother, while Manjula Reddy masterfully portrays the role of a modest mother. Nanjappa portrays the role of the hero Sanath’s grandfather.

Director SR Patil, known for ‘Ideega Banda Suddi,’ deliberately chose the title ‘Ondu Mutthina Kathe’ as he believed it encapsulated the essence of the narrative. He emphasizes that love is not a wrongdoing, but rather a sentiment that influences the elders in the family. In traditional families, a girl’s romantic involvement often comes with challenges, a subject he aims to explore.

Sanath, an up-and-coming actor featured in two films, is a charismatic and affable individual. He highlights that the majority of the scenes revolve around the interactions between the hero and the two heroines, Arya, Bhumi, and Driti. Sanath, who comes from a background where his father works as an auto driver and his mother as a teacher, seeks the support of the media due to the absence of a strong familial support system.

In her debut film, Anupa Satish contributes to the city-based segments of the storyline. She acknowledges that the realm of cinema offers abundant opportunities for learning. Pragna Bhat, another cast member, couldn’t attend the event due to her engagement in wedding preparations.
