The hero of the upcoming Kannada film Peekaboo has been officially introduced. The announcement was made during the Sankranti special Suggi celebrations through a special teaser released by the film’s director, Manju Swaraj.
Peekaboo is directed by Manju Swaraj, known for Shravani Subramanya, and stars Amulya in the lead role. This marks Amulya’s return to films after a long gap. The film had earlier drawn attention with its distinctive teaser released at the time of the project’s announcement.
Actor Sriram has been introduced as the male lead opposite Amulya in Peekaboo. The teaser presents his character from Amulya’s perspective. Sriram is not a newcomer to the industry. He has previously appeared as a lead actor in films such as Iruvudellava Bittu, Gajanana and Gang, and Hondisibareyiri. He was earlier known as Srimadev and has adopted the screen name Sriram for this film.
The film is being produced by Ganesh Kenchamba under the Sri Kenchamba Cinema banner. The technical team includes Suresh Babu as the cinematographer, Veer Samarth Sridhar Kashyap as the music composer, and N. M. Vishva as the editor.
Around 60 percent of the film’s shooting has been completed. Along with the ongoing shoot, the team has been continuing promotional activities, with the hero introduction being the latest update from the project.
