In the ancient Puranas, ‘Hayagriva’ emerges as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, revered as the deity of knowledge and wisdom. Hayagriva, portrayed with a human body and a horse head seated on a lotus, symbolizes the triumph of pure knowledge, guided by divine intervention, over the demonic forces of passion and darkness.

The Sri Chamundeswari temple in Mysuru witnessed the initiation of a Kannada film titled ‘Hayagriva,’ featuring the powerful name. The film is produced by Samriddi Manjunath, with Raghukumar leading as the director, and Dhanveer Gowda, known for the recent release ‘Kaiva,’ assuming the title role.

Samriddhi Manjunath, the producer, revealed that the inspiration for ‘Hayagriva’ came from a short film called ‘The Bell’ on YouTube. Impressed by its entertaining content, she approached Raghukumar, the director of the short film, eight months ago, and proposed the idea of creating a full-length feature. The film promises a unique commercial experience, unparalleled in Kannada cinema, featuring Dhanveer and Sanjana Anand as the lead pair, with another surprise hero whose identity will be revealed upon the film’s release.

Combining elements of crime with mythology, “Hayagriva” aims to be a complete commercial package with elements of love, sentiment, and suspense. The storyline revolves around the mythological character “Hayagriva,” and the entire film is set against the backdrop of Bangalore. Notable actors like Rangayana Raghu, Tara, Sadhu Kokila, and Ravi Shankar play crucial roles. The film boasts three songs composed by Juda Sandy, with the story and screenplay crafted by Samriddhi Manjunath and Karthik, while Umesh handles cinematography and editing. Dialogues are penned by Shailesh Raj and Chetan Sid.

Dhanveer, in his fifth film, expresses confidence in the team and the compelling title. He emphasizes the film’s unique story, promising fans an entertaining experience. The narrative includes a confrontation with adversaries, showcasing the actor’s six-pack physique after his previous film ‘Bazaar.’ The shooting is planned in a single phase, highlighting the distinctiveness of the story and characters.

Heroine Sanjana Anand echoes Dhanveer’s sentiments, expressing enthusiasm about her role in the film. The film has garnered support from various technicians, including cinematographer Karthik, music director Juda Sandy, and stunt director Arjun Master. The film’s launch event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including director, producer, and distributor Guru Deshpande, Yoganand, who extended their best wishes to the film crew.

The first look motion poster, released by Anand Audio, received widespread acclaim, building anticipation for the upcoming cinematic venture, “Hayagriva.”
