The grand launch event for Lyca Productions’ inaugural Kannada film starring Yuvaraja Nikhil Kumar took place at the Taj West End on Race Course Road on Wednesday evening.

In attendance for the launch of this prestigious venture by Lyca Productions were the former Prime Minister of India, HD Deve Gowda, and the former chief minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy. Both HD Deve Gowda, the grandfather, and HD Kumaraswamy, the father of Nikil Kumaraswamy, participated actively. HD Deve Gowda had the honor of lighting the ceremonial lamp, while HD Kumaraswamy unveiled the muhurat shot board.

Joining the momentous occasion was Subhaskaran, the head of LYCA Productions, the largest banner in South India, accompanied by his family members. It’s noteworthy that at the audio launch of ‘Seetharama Kalyana’, Subhaskaran had committed to inviting Nikhil Kumaraswamy to be part of a film project—a promise that has now come to fruition.

Reflecting on the film’s journey, Nikhil Kumaraswamy shared that the script had been meticulously crafted over a year. Director Lakshman is currently giving the finishing touches, and Nikhil Kumar expressed his intent to reveal more about the film’s storyline in the upcoming days.

For director Lakshman, this venture marks his Kannada debut, and he conveyed his deep gratitude to both Lyca Productions and Nikhil Kumar for embracing his script and entrusting him with the directorial role. He expressed his confidence in delivering a compelling film.

Popular actor Komal Kumar, who is part of the film’s cast, conveyed his contentment with the script and enthusiastically accepted Nikil’s invitation. Adding to the excitement, Yukthi Tereja has been cast as the female lead in this yet-to-be-titled film.

Lyca Productions, under the leadership of Subhaskharan, has been a prominent player in the entertainment industry since 2008. The production house has been associated with top-notch films such as Khaidi No. 150, Yaman, Diya, Vada Chennai, 2.0, Kaapaan, Darbar, Don, PS 1, and PS 2. The pipeline is also brimming with highly anticipated projects like Indian 2, Chandramukhi 2, Lal Salam, Vida Muyurchi, and Arnamanai, among others.
