“If this film does not do well, I will stop making cinema.” This is the height of confidence shown by producer S.R. Sanath Kumar, a veteran in film production and closely associated with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Sanath Kumar, a hotelier (Meenakshi Café near Navarang), has a strong background as a farmer. With great interest, he prepared a script that signifies the importance of natural farming.
The film “Gopilola,” starring his son-in-law Manjunath Urs, is produced under the Sukriti Chitralaya banner. The protagonist is also a co-producer, and the film is directed by R. Ravindra.
“Gopilola” has already captured hearts through its teasers and songs. The film will be released on October 4. Before that, the trailer release ceremony was held in a grand manner. Dignitaries like S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu, Josaiman, Doddanna, Srinagar Kitty, K. Manju, M.G. Ramamurthy, Krishna Gowda, and P.C. Shekhar released the trailer and wished the team well.
At the trailer launch, veteran actor Doddanna took charge as the anchor and introduced all the dignitaries on stage. Reciting lines in Kannada from ancient times, Doddanna humorously asked the wife of Manjunath Urs, the hero of the film, to provide ample food at home, noting that Manjunath Urs is chubby in build.
Producer S.R. Sanath Kumar expressed his confidence, saying, “I have faith that this film will be appreciated by all; such good elements are there in our film. I wrote the story myself. We were a farming family in the past, and I am happy to have made a film related to natural farming. Mithun Ashokan has beautifully composed six songs. ‘Gopilola’ has turned out to be a great film with the cooperation of all the artists and technicians. Thanks to the dignitaries who released the trailer.”
The makers have shared much about the film. “Gopilola” is a film about natural farming and a beautiful love story. Director R. Ravindra mentioned that the film also carries a message for the people.
“This is my first film as a hero. Sanath Kumar has come up with a great story, and Ravindra has directed it very well. My role is also good. Action, love, suspense, and all the elements that the viewers need are there in our film. Above all, there is good content,” said co-producer and hero Manjunath Urs in his address.
Nimisha, a debutant in this film and daughter of talented writer Keshava Chandra, expressed her happiness for the opportunity to act in this film. Veteran actress Padma Vasanthi, actor Kempegowda, and others expressed their satisfaction with their work in “Gopilola.”
