On the occasion of Ram Navami, a new film starring Golden Star Ganesh was formally launched at the Ganesha temple in Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru. The film is being produced by S.C. Ravi Bhadravathi under the banner of SNT Enterprises and is directed by noted lyricist Arasu Anthare.
The muhurtha ceremony took place in the presence of the film’s team and guests. The first shot of the film, titled “Production No. 1,” was clapped by the producer’s sister, marking the commencement of the shoot. Among the attendees was producer Uday K Mehta and other notable personalities.
Speaking at the event, director Arasu Anthare shared, “I’m returning to direction after a decade since Love in Mandya. I wanted to make this film the way I had envisioned it, and that took time. This story is different, and Ganesh will be seen in a role and narrative that he hasn’t attempted before. We’re starting the film on the auspicious day of Ram Navami. The title will be announced shortly. Amrutha Iyengar, known for her role in Hanuman, will be playing the female lead. Rangayana Raghu, Ravishankar Gowda, and Cockroach Sudhi are also part of the cast.”

He added that the screenplay is written by himself, with contributions from Mahesh Dev D.N. Poor for the story and Kranti Kumar and Shailesh Kumar for the dialogues. Sujñan is handling cinematography, Akshay P. Rao is in charge of editing, and Vijay Rakesh Kashyap and Keerthi Krishnappa are serving as associate directors.
Ganesh recalled, “Arasu had approached me in 2019 to narrate the story. Due to the COVID situation and other reasons, I couldn’t listen to it back then. When I finally heard it recently, I liked it. Being a writer, Arasu has developed the story well. I believe the audience will also like it. I’m playing a character that’s different from my previous roles. Ravi from Bhadravathi, who I’ve known for years, is producing the film. I’m glad to be acting with Rangayana Raghu, Ravishankar, and Cockroach Sudhi. We have good writers in Kannada, and more of them should come forward to make films. When quality films are made, audiences will definitely come to theatres.”
Actress Amrutha Iyengar said, “I’m a Kannada girl, and this is my first film in Kannada. I liked the story and my character. I’m happy to be acting alongside Ganesh.”
Producer S.C. Ravi Bhadravathi expressed his hope for everyone’s support for the project.
Veteran actor Rangayana Raghu, Ravishankar Gowda, Cockroach Sudhi, cinematographer Sujñan, editor Akshay P. Rao, and others also spoke on the occasion, sharing thoughts about the film.
The first phase of the film’s shoot is currently underway in Bengaluru.
