Sudharani, who made her debut in Kannada cinema as a child artist through the 1978 film Kiladi Kittu starring Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishnuvardhan, later made her debut as a lead actress in 1986 with Anand opposite Shivrajkumar. Since then, she has acted as the heroine alongside all the Kannada superstars in numerous films and earned praise for her performances. Over time, she also became active in supporting roles.
Sudharani successfully stepped into television through the serial Shreerastu Shubhamastu, which also turned out to be a success for her.
The short film Ghost, produced and acted by Sudharani herself, carries suspense thriller elements. “Just as there is good in the world, there is also evil. God exists. Ghosts exist. All this is left to one’s own imagination. With this idea as the base, I made this short film. I liked this story a lot when the director of Shreerastu Shubhamastu narrated it to me. As my first step into production, I have made this short film and also played a lead role,” said actress Sudharani.
Director Sudesh K. Rao, who has directed and acted alongside Sudharani in the short film, shared his experience of acting and directing in many serials. He said, “Ghost stands out as a special story. Everything in the world is positive. We ourselves search for the negative in everything and spoil our minds and thoughts. This short film can be a solution for such people.” The short film Ghost carries the subtitle ದಿ ದೆವ್ವ.
