On this occasion, producer Ram Prasad said “I have worked in the film industry for 40 years as an audio company owner and producer, and now I am launching my son. We started this film four years ago, but it got delayed for various reasons. This is a film of a different genre; the hero appears in three get-ups. While shooting with a set erected in Chikkamagaluru, the set caught fire. Director Shashidhar has done a very good job with the story and screenplay. The film is now ready for release and is set to go to the censor board. We are planning to release it around January. MN. Kumar will be releasing our film,” he said.
Later, director Shashidhar says “This film began five years ago. Due to Covid and various reasons, it had to be pushed forward. The adventurous drama contains a fictional story. Horror, suspense, thriller, action — all kinds of entertaining elements are present in the film. We have shot in Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Dandeli, Agumbe, and Bengaluru. After watching the film’s trailer, Zee purchased the rights for a good amount. The film carries the subtitle ‘The Land of Shadow’,” he said. An MSC graduate and animation expert Shashidhar roped in Gurukiran also for the film music besides RP Patnayak.
Hero Arun Ram Prasad said: “I entered the film industry after preparing myself in every way needed for acting. The whole film was challenging for me in one way or another. I had to reduce and increase my weight repeatedly. My role has several shades — writer, underworld, and more. This is a horror crime thriller subject. All shooting and post-production work has been completed,” he said.
Distributor MN Kumar stated Ram Prasad is a close friend of mine. My son and his son are also friends. We are planning to release the film in February. We have nearly 550 single screens and 76 multiplex that make it to nearly 1000 screens. Only proper utilization of it should take place says a senior producer, exhibitor and distributor MN Kumar.
