Who better to support the film ‘Genius Muttha’ than former ‘Chinnari Muttha,’ Vijaya Raghavendra? This was evident at the media briefing for the film the other day.
The debut director, Smt. Naginibharana, wife of nationally acclaimed director TS Nagabharana, invited Vijaya Raghavendra for the promotion. Smt. Naginibharana, who has been an expert in costume design for many years, is stepping into directing with this film. Notably, TS Nagabharana directed the national award-winning film ‘Chinnari Muttha’ in the past.
‘Genius Mutta’ is set to hit the screens in August. Produced by GS Lata Jaiprakash, the film features Master Shreyass Jaiprakash in the title role of “Genius Mutta.” Vijaya Raghavendra, acclaimed for his role in “Chinnari Muttha,” has a special role in this film.
“Following his insistence, I prepared the story of this film along with a team of my friends. The film, which has a unique storyline, was shot at Biligirirangana Hills. The cast includes Master Shreyass, Vijaya Raghavendra, TS Nagabharana, Girija Lokesh, Sundarraj, Pannagabharana, and others. Our film has already been screened at an international film festival and abroad, receiving much appreciation,” said Director Nagini Bharan, adding that efforts are underway to release the film in August.
Nagini Bharana, now an independent director, used to assist in the direction of all of TS Nagabharana’s movies and serials. “Now she has directed her first film. I played a small role in this film,” noted TS Nagabharana.
“I learned acting from Bharan sir. Then my mom wanted me to act. I played ‘Genius Mutta’ in this film. I want to thank Amma for the opportunity and the film crew for their cooperation,” said Master Shreyass.
“I always look up to Nagabharan sir. Everyone calls me ‘Chinnarimuttha’ more than Vijaya Raghavendra. It was Nagabharan sir who gave me the opportunity to act in such a super hit film. I am happy to have acted in Nagini Bharana’s first directorial venture as well,” said Vijaya Raghavendra.
“I have known Nagini Bharana for ten years. I told her she should create a story for my son and direct it herself. She prepared a good story and narrated it to me. That’s how the movie ‘Genius Muttha’ started,” said producer Lata Jaiprakash, seeking support for the film.
Girija Lokesh, Pannagabharana, and Bapu Padmanabha also spoke on this occasion.
