Gana is a film filled with excitement and offers new experiences for cinema audiences. Although it is a remake of Play Back (2021), the film has a purpose and is refreshing for new viewers. The concept of connecting 1993 to 2022 makes it interesting. While debatable, for the celluloid medium, it is a game-changer.

The climax, altered by director Hariprasad Jakka, sounds interesting and offers a welcome change after watching so many ups and downs.

Television journalist Gana breaks a significant story for his channel. This particular story leads him to further investigate and unravel the truth. By coincidence, Gana (Prajwal Devaraj) traces a strange phone call. The repeated calls to his landline at home make the situation even more intriguing. Surprisingly, Gana receives a call in 2022 that is connected to 1993. The conversations between Sujatha (Vedhika) and Gana across two timeframes are captivating and lead to various strange developments from the past. These revelations assist Gana in his investigation at work, but the journey is not easy. His office records become crucial in tracing killings that occurred 29 years ago.

The film Gana quickly gains momentum, keeping the audience glued to their seats. The imaginative portrayal of past and present events makes it worth watching.

In 2022, Gana must find the real murderers, with significant encouragement from Sujatha, the caller from 1993. Sujatha, Gana’s stepmother who affectionately calls him Chinnu, builds emotional moments throughout the film.

Finding the 29-year-old culprits and defeating the villains becomes a major task for Gana, which he handles efficiently.

Prajwal Devaraj excels in the mother-son conversations, tackling villains with guts, and shines as an action hero. In romantic moments with Yasha, he embodies the real lover boy.

Vedhika, as the 1993 mother, delivers a commendable performance. Yasha Shivakumar looks adorable and acts with ease. Vishal Hegde, Ramesh Bhat, Krishi Tapanda, Ravi Kale, and Sampath Raj lend strong support. Shivaraj KR Pete deserves appreciation for his comedy role.

The cinematography by Jai Anand is a visual treat, while Pranav Rao’s score is engaging.

This is a family-friendly film worth watching, offering many interesting and intriguing moments.
