Filmfare South made its entry to Bangalore for the first time. The event took place at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre on 9th October 2022. This star-studded event was hosted by Ramesh Aravind and Diganth Manchale as they said Galileo wouldn’t have gotten inspired to invent the telescope if he was here right now as there are shining superstars right in front of the eyes together in the same place. The combined award function of the south film industry which included Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam was a special treat in itself.
The most emotional moment of the event was the announcement of Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar. Smt. Ashwini Puneeth Rajakumar was present but the award was received Power Star’s sister Poornima.
Honorary Award was presented to Chiranjivi Sarja, as wife Meghana Raj Sarja receives it was heart rending and to hear her say “Chiru your black lady is finally home!”
