The Kannada film Ekka, starring Yuva Rajkumar, is set for release on July 18. The film has completed its shooting and is ready for release. Promotional activities have started with the teaser and songs already released and receiving responses from the audience. A press meet was held today at a private hotel in Bengaluru, attended by Yuva Rajkumar and the film’s team.
Speaking at the event, director Rohith Padaki said, “If a film has a good vibe, it works well—that’s the belief I have. You have seen the content we released and how much we enjoyed making it. I feel the same emotion will reach the audience too. What I have learnt from this journey is that a film can be made in nine months, just like delivering a baby.”
Actor Yuva Rajkumar said, “All the content we have released from Ekka has reached people. It feels good to see people from all walks of life dancing to the ‘Bangle Bangari’ song. Everyone will enjoy this film in theatres. We have made the film with joy. You will see me in a new avatar. The film releases on July 18. I hope to have your support.”
Producer Karthik Gowda said, “We had initially planned to release the film on June 6. But since some work was pending, we have moved the release to July 18. If the film is good, people will come to theatres. Many films are scheduled for the second half, including Kedi, Devil, and 45. There are plenty of films. Ekka features Atul Kulkarni, Aditya (Deadly Aditya), Jolly Jack, Sadhu Kokila, Puneeth Rudranag, Dr. Soori, Harini, Shruti Ma’am, Rahul Dev Shetty and others in the cast.”
Music director Charan Raj said, “The songs have been shaped by the contributions of everyone’s ideas. I have enjoyed working on this film. There are more songs in the film. The movie has shaped up well. Background score work is currently in progress. It is good to see all the content getting appreciation.”
In Ekka, Sanjana Anand and Sampada star as the female leads opposite Yuva Rajkumar. The film also features a large supporting cast including Atul Kulkarni and Deadly Aditya.
Ekka is directed by Rohith Padaki and is described as a commercial entertainer. The film is being jointly produced by PRK Productions, Jayanna Films, and KRG Studios. Charan Raj has composed the music while Satya Hegde has handled cinematography. The film is set for a grand release on July 18.
