The first invitation of a film ‘Teaser’ is made with a lot of care and affection. It obviously creates talk in the cinema industry. This ‘Dollars Pete’ , a dacoit subject, created a good room for the team for Mohan N Muninarayanappa.
Mohan in the past worked as assistant in Murfi and Madagaja and this is his first independent direction. The teaser of ‘Dollars Pete’ is filled with the sound of bullets, action, money and villains screaming.
According to the director this DP is based on a real life incident that happened in one of the banks in Tamil Nadu. It is about the distribution of Rs.13 crores to 100 persons by mistake from the manager of the bank. How it happens is very interesting. It is a dark comedy and hyperlink cinema – five characters cross over at one point of time. 50 percent of shootings happen in a bank.
Sowmya is in a prominent role of Pooja. I agreed to this genre of film soon after hearing the story. It is a thriller that gives hilarious moments for the audience in spite of characters in a piquant situation.
Venkat Raju is a don in this film. He prepared for three months to get into the role. I got a very good experience from this well made film he says.
Eminent director Pawan Kumar, wife Sowmya Jagan Murthy, Metro Saga Akarsh Kamala, Venkat, Raj, Dattu Banakar, Kaushil, Raghavendra, Honnavalli, Mahendra and others are in supporting roles. Prithvi Ambar is in a cameo role.
Sooraj Jois scored music, Anand Sundaresh handled camera, Mahesh Togatta edited the film, Arjun Raj and Narasimha handled stunts, Ramesh S and Manohar are in the writing department.
