A new group of filmmakers has entered the industry. Mohan N. Muninarayanappa, who has previously worked as an assistant director on films like Murphy and Madagaja, is making his directorial debut with Dollars Pete and has taken his first step as an independent director.
The movie Dollars Pete, based on a true incident, is set to be released across the state on September 6. The story revolves around how ₹13 crore mistakenly transferred by a bank manager in Tamil Nadu ends up in 100 different accounts as deposits. This hyperlink thriller stars Soumya Jagan Murthy, wife of Lucia Pawan, Metro Saga fame Aakarsh Kamala, Venkat Raj, and Kushals in lead roles, with Dia Prithvi Amber making a guest appearance. The rest of the cast includes Duttu Bankar, Kaushik, Raghu Ramakoppa, Honnavalli Krishna, and Drama Juniors Mahendra.
The film features music direction by Sooraj Jois, cinematography by Anand Sundaresh, editing by Mahesh Togatta, and action direction by Arjun Raj and Narasimha. It was co-written by Ramesh S. and Manohar. Pooja T.Y. has produced the film under the Pentrix Entertainment banner. The filming of Dollars Pete took place in and around Bangalore and Mangalore.
