It is rare for an animal to be involved in dubbing for a film, but the sequel ‘Nanu Matthu Gunda 2’ has made it possible. The pet dog, Simba, was brought to the dubbing studio, where he watched his scenes and barked into the microphone for the purpose of recording his voice.
Simba plays a lead role alongside hero Rakesh Adiga. The screenplay was written and directed by Raghuhasan, and the film is set to release in five languages, including Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
The shooting of the film has already been completed, and the dubbing work has just begun. The movie is filled with various emotions, particularly during the scenes where Simba dubs his own voice. The entire film will feature Simba’s original sounds.
“We are recording the original sounds of Simba, especially during emotional scenes. Each breed of dog has a unique sound, which is why we decided to have our character, Simba, dub for himself,” said the team.
In the first installment of the film, only a few scenes featured Simba’s original dubbing. However, in ‘Nanu Matthu Gunda 2,’ Simba will dub for the entire movie.
Director and producer Raghu Haasan mentioned that no one in India has attempted this before. After completing the dubbing, the film’s DI (Digital Intermediate) and RR (Re-Recording) work will begin.
Produced under the banner of Poem Pictures, ‘Nanu Matthu Gunda 2’ features music by R.P. Patnaik, background score by Ruthvik Muralidhar, cinematography by Tanvik, editing by K.M. Prakash, lyrics by V. Nagendra Prasad, and choreography by Raghu.
