DIRECTOR GURUPRASAD COMMITS SUICIDE

The diligent director, writer, actor, and stormy petrel in Kannada cinema, Mata Guruprasad, has tragically bid goodbye to life. His decomposed body was discovered hanging in his apartment on Sunday.

Authorities from the Madanayakanahalli police department visited the scene to investigate the exact date and time of Guruprasad’s death.

The talented writer and director, aged 52, was known for thought-provoking films that reflected societal realities. His movies Mata, Eddelu Manjunatha, Eradane Sala, Ranganayaka, and Director’s Special showcased his immense talent.

After reuniting with Jaggesh in Ranganayaka following a decade-long gap, Guruprasad was working on several new scripts. His decision to end his life has come as a shock to everyone.

Guruprasad also acted in films such as Mata, Eddelu Manjunatha, Mylari, Kal Manja, Hudugaru, Director’s Special, Whistle, Karodpathi, Jigarthanda, Ananthu vs Nusrath, Kushka, Badava Rascal, Body God, among others.

As a dialogue writer, he contributed to Hudugaru, Super Ranga, Whistle, and several other films. Additionally, he was associated with TV shows such as Thaka Dhimi Tha, Big Boss Kannada Season 2, Putani Pantru Season 2, Dance Karnataka Dance, and Bajarangi Comedy.
