The Kannada film ‘Digvijaya,’ which has already received accolades at the Goa Film Festival and the Jammu and Kashmir Festival, is set to premiere for the Kannada audience this month.
During both film festivals, ‘Digvijaya’ earned recognition as the best entertainer, with the lead actor winning six awards for his performance in the film.
The story, screenplay, lyrics, and dialogues for the film were skillfully crafted by Durga PS and Honnavalli Srikanth, who also edited and directed it. Notably, the duo has an impressive portfolio of 65 films as editors in their profession. The film has received a ‘U’ certificate from the regional censor board.
The film’s central theme revolves around the role of the media, often considered the fourth pillar of democracy, and its potential to shape or shatter society. It focuses on how a person from the media, dealing with a half-mad individual, attempts to resolve the farmer’s loan issue.
Jayaprabhu R Lingayat takes on the role of the protagonist, with Sneha as the female lead. The ensemble cast includes Suchindra Prasad, Patre Nagaraj, Honnavalli Krishna, Honnavalli Srikanth, Killer Venkatesh, Shivakumar Aradhya, Rahul, Akash MP, Ramitha, Rithika Yallappa, and others.
The film features a total of five songs composed by Harsha, while Veenus Murthy serves as the cinematographer, and Super Subbu and Dance master Jaggu choreographed the stunts for this production.
