Introducing the 2024 film Dhruva Taare. The title, originally associated with Dr. Rajkumar’s 1985 Kannada film, has now been adopted for the latest Kannada release.
Dhruva Taare stars Prateek and Moulya, a real-life couple who are also popular on social media. The film is set for release.
Produced by G.P. Ganesh Kumar under the Films Studios banner, Dhruva Taare features Prateek not only in the lead role but also as the director. He describes the film as a family drama. KFCC President NM Suresh praised Prateek’s team and released the film’s audio.
NM Suresh commented, “The film is technically well-executed, with the intention of delivering a high-quality movie to the industry. I am here to support newcomers from KFCC.”
Director Prateek shared, “Dhruva Taare is a five-year dream of mine. I have invested three years of hard work into this project. Originally from Mysore, I was interested in cinema during my studies and began directing short films. Finally, my wish has come true.”
He added, “Making a movie is easy, but releasing it is challenging. If the movie is good, everyone will come together for its release. While short films were manageable for me as a director, working on this movie with my wife as the heroine has been a unique experience. Moulya has performed exceptionally well.”
Moulya, who plays the heroine, said, “Dhruva Taare is a significant part of my life. I never imagined I would act in a film, let alone marry a movie star. My role is Apoorva, a character who is innocent, curious, and loves to dance. The film portrays how body shaming can impact a person. I believe audiences will connect with this character.”
The cast also includes Ramesh Bhatt, Muguru Suresh, Suman Nagarkar, Ashwin Rao Palakki, and PD Satish. Notably, Karthik Mahesh, a winner from Bigg Boss, plays a role with a negative shade. The movie is set to hit the screens on September 20.
