In recent days, the Kannada film industry has been overshadowed by non-film news rather than good news. Two high-profile divorces have dominated the headlines: Chandan Shetty and Nivedhita Gowda, and Yuva Rajkumar and Sridevi Byrappa. Today, the shocking news is the murder charge against the Challenging Star Darshan.
Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan from Chitradurga, tragically lost his life after getting involved in matters concerning Darshan’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, and girlfriend, Pavithra Gowda. The 33-year-old medical shop employee allegedly sent derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda, possibly with the intention of mending the relationship between Darshan and Vijayalakshmi. However, these actions led to his untimely death.
Renukaswamy’s death has been classified as murder, and Darshan’s name has been linked to the case. This development has prompted the Karnataka Police to bring Darshan in for questioning. Alongside Darshan, ten other individuals and Pavithra Gowda have also been brought in for investigation.
The Kannada cinema industry is in shock over this unexpected turn of events. Darshan’s legal team is working diligently to secure his release from police custody. Deputy Commissioner of Police Girish is handling the case.
Darshan and Pavitra Gowda are currently in police custody for next six days, labeled as A1 and A2 in the case.
