This is a film by first time producer Satish and his wife Shilpa gives a proud feeling after watching the film. That is because of valuable content that holds a mirror to the society – especially with regard to elections. Had this film come a few months back the impact would have been extremely good.
The return of proven writer, director, music director V Manohar to direction after 23 years is of course with a value based cinema. It is no doubt a right comeback to direction. He has given his best and taken very best from the artists and technicians.
All those who take ‘APPEASEMENT’ from the politicians to cast their votes should watch this film. Secondly all the politicians who practice bribing of voters must watch this film because the time is to question everyone after 75 years of Indian Independence.
It is an offence to receive a bribe to vote and at the same time equally offence to be given by a candidate in winning the elections.
Look at the other perspective of the film, the winning candidate does not work for the good of the people he will be at the receiving end is what director Manohar touchingly explained. Finally the hook or crook of winning elections should stop is the call of this film. Merit of work and morality is the winning element this film focuses on.
As a newcomer writing story, producing the film and appearing in the lead role – we have got another actor like BC Patil of ‘Kaurva’ – the shade is different here for Satish. He has lived up to the expectations – Dadagiri for the good of the village, his concern for the poor and downtrodden even after losing elections is something impeccable to find in reality. Satish is good in dialogue delivery, action and he has screen presence.
Jahnavi as debutant looks chubby and she has a long way to go. Deviating from comedy, Huli Karthik has a surprise package in this film. Santhu in comedy is quite OK. A few of the first time actors in this film have given their best.
V Manohar besides winning in giving a convincing film has scored three lovely songs. Cinematography of Samrat gives a refreshing feel as the natural location of the village is well captured. Mass Madha stunts are chilling.
This is not just an eye opener but also enables the voter of this country to be careful in the coming days.
