A gritty personality in the cinema industry as a producer, director, and MMB Legacy founder, Navarasan has evolved the first-ever Celebrity Women’s Kabaddi League.

Navarasan, who is popular as a producer, director, and actor, and for organizing events through Eagle Media Creations, has entered the world of sports by organizing the “Celebrity Women’s Kabaddi League.” Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar recently unveiled the logo of this Kabaddi tournament, named “CWKL,” and wished the tournament success. Navarasan provided more details at a press conference organized to share information about the event.

Kabaddi is our native sport, and women rarely play it. That is why I have organized the “Celebrity Women’s Kabaddi League.” I would like to thank Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for unveiling the logo. There will be 10 teams in this tournament, with more than 120 actresses participating. Out of the ten teams, eight have already found owners. The tournament will be held in April. Artists, technicians, and producers from the Kannada film industry will attend the tournament and encourage the competitors.

Two of the 10 teams will be chosen via bidding. The cash prize for the winning team is Rs. 5 lakhs and a trophy. CWKL will be available for all television channels and social media for free. This is a state-level event, and next year, we will have a national-level Women’s Kabaddi League, he said.

The team owners as of now are Chetan Gowda, who presented a cheque for Rs. 11,80,000, Avra Ground Aravind (represented by Suma Reddy), Suresh Gowda of Kalapatthar and Andonditthu Kaala, Si Sishir Gajendra and Vinay, and Yogish Ashok of World Square.

Speaking on the occasion, Sai Gold Palace owner and Legislative Council member Sharavan said that every girl participating in this tournament will receive a gift voucher of ten thousand rupees from Sai Gold Palace.

Coach Shrudiya Raman Gowda provided information about the game of Kabaddi. A national-level player, Shrudiya Raman is offering free professional services. According to her, money does not matter here; she will be the chief mentor. Although Kabaddi is a physically demanding sport, having 100-plus female artists participate is a big boost for this Desi game, she feels.

Actresses like Sindhu Loknath, Roopika, Apoorva, and Karunya Ram wished “CWKL” success. Producers Suresh Reddy, Suresh Gowda, and others were present as chief guests.
