The Celebrity Women’s Kabaddi League (CWKL), led by producer-director Navarasan, began its matches on April 5 and will continue on April 6. The league features participation from over a hundred women celebrities, marking a notable effort to bring together entertainment and sport.
Ahead of the matches, the jersey and trophy of the CWKL were unveiled at a recent event. The launch attracted attention not just in Karnataka but also in neighboring states.
Prominent figures present at the event included Sai Gold Palace’s Saravana, Vamana film producer Chetan Gowda, producers Suresh Gowda, Rajesh Gowda, Govindaraju, and Gajendra. Actress Ragini Dwivedi, serving as the brand ambassador, extended her best wishes to the league.
Seven teams are competing in the league, with various celebrity players taking part. Several dignitaries and supporters attended the opening ceremony and match events.
