The famous Kalluru Mahalakshmi has blessed producer Kalluru Prashanth in his first venture, Congratulations Brother. At the 25th day celebration organized at Utsav Legacy in GT Mall, producer Prashanth Kallur was brimming with happiness, as he is safe with his investment and a few more avenues of revenue generation have placed him in a very comfortable zone.
The first point to note is that the successful film Congratulations Brother is being remade in Telugu and Tamil, while it is being dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. On its 25th day, the film is running in 21 theaters. Prashanth Kallur admitted that a lack of experience in his first film caused a bit of discomfort. He is yet to sign papers for OTT and satellite transactions. The producer immensely thanked creative head Alemari Santhu, alias Hari Santosh, the popular director, for showing great enthusiasm in keeping the film strong.
Director Pratap Gandharva, who moved from writing for the small screen to making his big-screen debut as a director, thanked the audience for giving top priority to the emotional aspects of the film. He agreed that the father-and-son combination of hero Rakshit and veteran actor Shashikumar elevated the film. “It is extraordinary that just eight scenes connected the family audience to the film,” he said. Pratap is in discussions for upcoming projects and has not stopped writing for future films.
Creative head Hari Santosh spoke about the filmmaking process, saying, “We all enjoyed making this film. It was like a festival. With the news of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi versions, the film has attained pan-India status. We even thought of another popular statement by Karnataka Minister Zamir Ahmed Khan—‘Abbabba Lottery’—for one of the upcoming films,” he added.
The chief guest of the 25-day event, veteran actor Supreme Hero Shashikumar, said, “In the past, we used to celebrate 25 weeks, and today we have come to the stage of 25 days. I always vouch for content-oriented subjects like Congratulations Brother instead of focusing only on a pan-India structure. Of course, people should like the film, and entertainment is a must,” he added.
Lead actor Rakshit Nag, who has already heard six subjects for his next ventures, thanked audiences for the family connect with the film. Actors Sanjana Dos, Ravi Bhat, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Chetan, Sudarshan, child actors Sihi and Nishita, Swathi, and the technicians of the film received trophies made for the Congratulations Brother 25-day celebration and shared the joy of being part of the film.
