The trailer of the upcoming musical love story College Kalavida was released recently at S.R.V. Preview Theatre in Bengaluru. The film, made by a team of young talents, showcased four songs during the event. Villain actor Kote Prabhakar, actor-director Nagendra Aras, actors Pratham, Dinesh, and Jay Karnataka leader Jagadeesh were among the dignitaries who graced the occasion and launched the trailer.
Kote Prabhakar, who released the trailer, expressed that this was the first time in his career he was launching a film’s trailer and called it an unforgettable moment. Though not acting in the film, he said he attended because of the team’s affection and wished the film great success.
Nagendra Aras revealed that his student Mahesh worked on the film’s editing. After watching the film, Aras himself edited the trailer and predicted that the film would have many twists and turns.

Actor Pratham impressed the crowd with his energetic talk, praising the efforts of the team and wishing the film well. Jagadeesh, leader of Jay Karnataka, mentioned his 30-year friendship with producer Tarun Sharma and said the film highlights the issue of drugs and reflects college students’ lives. He assured full support from his organization.
Others including fight master Chamaraj and actor Dinesh also appreciated the film team’s efforts and conveyed their wishes.
Director Sanjay Malavalli said he had worked as assistant and associate director on over 15 films and is a writer too. He credited his mentor Mandya Ramesh for guiding him. This film, he said, is a love story with elements like friendship, humor, action, and drugs. It was shot in Bengaluru, Chikkamagaluru and other scenic locations. The film will release on June 6 statewide.
Producer Tarun Sharma, originally from the iron and steel business, said he was drawn to the story and also plays a villain role in the film. Actor Aarav Surya, who returns to films after serials, plays a sketch artist and said the film beautifully portrays friendship, love, and emotional highs. Music director Suraj Jois, in his 13th film, said the songs and background score have come out well.
